DIRECTIONS

DIRECTIONS to LA PLAGNE

We have always driven to the Alps and find the journey very easy.  Directions from Chambery are as follows:

FROM CHAMBÉRY TO AIME

1. Head for Albertville on the A43.
2. After approximately 15km, road becomes A430 signposted; Albertville, Tarentaise.
3. When you get to Albertville, the road becomes the N90; stay on it, signposted; Haute Tarentaise, Moûtiers & Aime.
4. After approximately 26 km, as you approach Moûtiers you need to be in the left-hand lane (Haute Tarentaise, Val d’Isere, La Plagne) as the road divides into three at this point, but you are still following the N90.
5. Follow the N90 for approximately 14km until you see a sign for Aime (also indicated La Plagne) turn right into the town and follow the road through Aime (straight over 2 roundabouts) on the D220.
6. At the end of the town, the road bears right under a flyover signposted Montalbert & La Plagne.

FROM AIME TO LA PLAGNE 1800

7.  Follow the road D220 through Mâcot-la-Plagne.  As you leave the village at the roundabout take the first exit right towards La Plagne.
8.  Simply follow the road up towards Plagne 1800.
9.  As you reach Plagne 1800, continue on the road as if you are heading further towards Plagne Centre.
10.  At the roundabout turn right and immediately on the right is a small road.  Turn off here and as you pull into the road about 100 yards or so there is a parking area on the left.
11.  Park your car here and walk a few yards along the road; Chalet Marmotte is the second chalet on the left.  You can then unload your bags and if there is space on the drive you can park there, or we will show you the best place to leave your car.  Your holiday begins!

FROM AIME TO PLAGNE MONTALBERT

7.  Continue for about 1km and you will see a large furniture shop (Alpes Confort) on your right.  Approximately 250 metres after this as the road bears left you will see the turning to Montalbert on the right.
8.  Keep following this road for 6 km and you will pass through a small village called Longefoy.
9.  Keep driving uphill for another 2 km and as you see the sign welcoming you to Montalbert.
10.  There is a hairpin bend round to the right, with a large wooden skier welcoming you into the village.  Do not go round the hairpin bend but carry straight on and La Bergerie is the apartment block on the right about 200 metres in front of you.
11.  There is ample parking immediately adjacent to the apartment block, with entrance to the building on the piste side of the building.
12.  Walk up the pedestrian footpath/road in front of the building to the front door.  We will meet you there.
