LA PLAGNE - PARADISKI DOMAIN

La Plagne, joined to Les Arcs by the Vanoise Express cable car, is part of Paradiski, the second largest ski domain in the world with 425km of pistes.  It is renowned for excellent snow conditions and has 70% of runs above 2000m.  With dedicated beginners areas, long cruising runs for intermediates and challenging runs for advanced skiers or snowboarders, there is something for all abilities.  

We have 15 years' experience of skiing throughout the La Plagne resort and can advise you on the best slopes and charming, traditional Savoyard restaurants you will love.  With stunning scenery across the resort, you will leave with wonderful memories! 
La Plagne is made up of several smaller resorts including Plagne Centre, Plagne Montalbert, Plagne Bellecôte, Plagne 1800 and Plagne Aime 2000.  All the resorts are linked by the lift system and each offers something different, allowing you to enjoy wonderful wide pistes bathed in sunshine over in Champagny or the beautiful tree lined descent into Plagne Montalbert; the list is endless.    

La Plagne also hosts a variety of different snow sport experiences for you to enjoy from family friendly fun and games to high adrenaline challenges, including the famous Olympic Bobsleigh track for those brave enough to give it a go!  Alternatively, you can enjoy the thrills of the Colorado Luge, skidoo or husky rides, to name just a few of the activities available.  Take a look at what La Plagne has to offer. 

LA PLAGNE 1800

Plagne 1800 is a vibrant village with classic Savoyard charm nestled amongst the pine trees with a great selection of restaurants, bars, equipment hire shops and supermarket. The village is ideal for skiers and snowboarders of all abilities to enjoy the slopes alongside the resort's friendly and cosy atmosphere. With the free shuttle bus, Plagne Centre and Plagne Bellecôtte are just a short hop away.

There are numerous bars in Plagne 1800 the most popular is La Mine, aptly named reminiscent of the village's mining heritage and La Cantine, which is just a short walk from the Chalet.  

Plagne Centre enjoys a wider selection of bars and après, so why not stop off at Le Brix or La Bergerie for a cheeky one or two before catching the free shuttle bus back to Chalet Marmotte where a delicious cake and a dip in the hot tub await!   

Our evening off gives you the opportunity to sample the culinary delights from a number of great nearby restaurants; we will happily recommend our favourites to you and make a reservation on your behalf. If you want convenience Le Petit Chaperon Rouge and La Cantine are close by, both have excellent reputations and are reasonably priced.

LA PLAGNE MONTALBERT

Plagne Montalbert is a buzzing village full of Savoyard charm and a fantastic family atmosphere.  It boasts an impressive new gondola to whisk you up the mountain to the Fornelet Plateau offering stunning views across the Tarentaise Valley.  With direct access to the La Plagne domain, excellent tree lined intermediate, beginner slopes and childcare facilities are all within yards of the apartment in La Bergerie.  

Montalbert Magic World and the Elf piste is a family favourite; you will discover fairies and dragons hiding in the tree lined pistes to captivate your child’s imagination.  Experience the exciting Sound Tunnel as you descend in to the village.  You will love it!  

Plagne Montalbert offers a wide variety of bars (for the all-important Après) and restaurants for you to enjoy after a busy day skiing.  Choose from family friendly fayre, charming traditional restaurants or gourmet fine dining. You will not be disappointed.  There is a well-stocked supermarket in the village and a delightful bakery and deli on the ground floor of La Bergerie so you don’t even have to put your coat on as you head down and buy your croissants and pain au chocolat for breakfast; you won't be able to resist the smell of the delicious rotisserie cooked chickens!  

Having owned the apartment for 15 years we have extensive experience of the beautiful village, ski domain, restaurants (both in the village and on the piste) and will do all we can to share our knowledge and experience so you can enjoy the very best that Plagne Montalbert has to offer.
