LA PLAGNE MONTALBERT RESTAURANTS

RESTAURANTS & BARS IN MONTALBERT VILLAGE

Union Restaurant Plagne Montalbert
Union has an amazing reputation.  Co-owned by Martin Cuchet, owner of Les Etoiles du Sport Shop, and Philip Howard, an award-winning London based chef, the restaurant has caused a stir!  Union offers lunch, dinner and a Tasting Menu.  Intimate with a small number of covers, booking is strongly recommended.   It has become a favourite with The Lovely Chalet Company and many of our guests have eaten there both at lunchtime and in the evening.  It offers something different and really has the WOW factor.
Les 2 Zebras bar/restaurant is a stones throw from the apartment overlooking the Montalbert Gondola. Expertly run by Julien and his Team we love the friendly atmosphere.  A great place for Après, lunch or dinner, the menu is traditionally Savoyard with burgers, pizzas and crèpes also on offer.  The food is delicious and we have eaten her many times!
La Tourmente also owned by the Loyet family it is one of our favourite Après Bars.  Sit in front of the lovely fire or enjoy a game of pool in this bar/restaurant that is full of charm and ambiance.  We have eaten upstairs in the eaves and enjoyed delicious food many times.
The White Bear is a great bar, restaurant and nightclub owned by two British guys Harry and James, we sometimes do Après in here too.  Their pizzas are superb!  They have fuse ball, a dart board and pool table – a little lively competition is always great fun, perfect for larger groups to enjoy a mini tournament!

RESTAURANTS AT ALTITUDE

Le Forperet is a delightful mountain restaurant and is most definitely our favourite; we are regulars both for a cheeky tipple on the last run down to the village and we always have dinner there one evening there when we are on holiday.  With a free bus in the evening to take you up to the restaurant it is a fabulous authentic restaurant with oodles of charm.  Roland Loyet, his family and the Team are wonderful hosts, the food is simple and rustic but the atmosphere is fantastic.  Pop in and book a table along with the free bus, they will ask you to choose your food before you arrive.
Le 360 is a fabulous new restaurant at the top of the Montalbert Gondola.  With a self-service and an A La Carte restaurant it offers beautiful panoramic views over the Fornelet plateau.  The food is great and reasonably priced.  Accessed by the gondola, it is perfect for both skiers and non-skiers to enjoy.  If you're skiing with beginner skiers it is a great place to watch your loved ones as it is ideally placed close to the nursery ski area.  There are also opportunities to go snow shoe walking from the plateau too.  A great spot for people watching and sun bathing!
