Where is the La Bergerie Apartment building located in Montalbert?


La Bergerie is located beautifully in the heart of the village on the main street.  Easy to find (see the directions / Pin web pages), it is situated just yards from the Montalbert Gondola, the local shops and restaurants. 


Is it ski in/ski out?


It isn't ski in/ski out but the Gondola is very close to the apartment building, about a 2 minute walk.  The stunning balcony views across the Tarentaise Valley more than make up for it!!


How close are you to the ski school?


The ESF Ski School is about a 2 minute walk away adjacent to the Gondola, very easy.

What happens if I don’t pay my balance on time?


You are required to pay your balance 10 weeks before your departure date. We will send you an email reminder to make an immediate payment, but if we do not receive payment within 2 working days we will assume your booking is cancelled and you will lose your deposit. 

LA BERGERIE ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE / PARKING

What time can I check in?


You can check in any time after 4pm. There may be flexibility for you to arrive earlier, so let us know what time you expect to arrive and we will do our best to accommodate you.


What time is check out?


La Bergerie check out time is 1000 and the apartment should be left clean and tidy allowing us to prepare the accommodation for our next guests. 


Can I park near to the accommodation?


There is ample free car parking adjacent to the La Bergerie apartment block.


LA BERGERIE ACCOMMODATION

I’m bringing my skis/snowboard, where can I leave them?

We have a secure locker in the communal locker room on Floor -1 easily accessible using the lift.  There is access straight from the locker room outside, guests will then take a small set of steps up to the main road.  

What towels and linen are provided?

All bedding, towels and bath mats are all provided free of charge.  Additionally, you will be given 3 x tea towels and a dish cloth.

Will the beds be made up on arrival?

Yes, we do make up the beds for you.  If you have more than six people in your party with some sleeping on the sofa beds in the living room these beds will not be made up; the bedding will be left on the top bunk in the bunk room. 

We kindly ask when you leave the Apartment that you remove the bedding to help us as we prepare for the next guests. Thank you.

Will there be complimentary toiletries for us to use?

For environmental reasons we have decided not to provide complimentary toiletries.  There is a supermarket in the Commercial Centre which has toiletries to purchase. 

Do you provide complimentary slippers?

As above, for environmental reasons we have decided not to provide complimentary slippers. For your comfort we recommend you bring your own as we do not allow outdoor shoes in La Bergerie

What is the minimum age a child can sleep on the top bunk?

Under French Law, children under the age of 6 are not allowed to sleep on the top bunk. If you have more than one child in your party under the age of 6, we will make alternative arrangements for one of your children to sleep on the floor.

Do you provide adaptors for electrical items?

Whilst we do have some adaptors we recommend you bring adaptors for any electrical items you bring with you.

Do you provide hair dryers? 

Yes there is a hair dryer in each bedroom.

Are there any facilities to wash clothes? 

There is a laundrette in the village (location tbc - it has been moved as part of the Village re-development).  We think the washing powder is already in the machine, so you don't need to buy powder for your wash.

Can I smoke in the accommodation?

La Bergerie is non-smoking.  You can smoke on the balcony but you must ensure that your cigarette butts are placed in the sand buckets provided and not discarded on the floor or the snow.  If we do identify that you have been smoking in the accommodation you will be asked to leave immediately.  

Do you allow pets to stay?

We love pets, but regrettably we can not accept animals of any kind recognising that future guests may have pet allergies.

Will I be charged if I lose a set of keys?

Yes, unfortunately the keys are very expensive to replace, so you will be charged the replacement cost. 

Will I be charged a deposit in case of breakages or damage?

Those staying in La Bergerie will be required to provide details of a valid credit card in case of breakages or damage to the apartment.  Any issues should be reported to us immediately (unless it is simply a broken glass, for example, which we recognise may happen).  You are asked to leave the apartment as you found it.
